The St Peters Residents Association requests that the Council Assessment Panel refuse the application in its current form.
This article contains background information on Allottment 13 off Holton Court, Joslin which is known as the Transport SA Car Park and is owned by the Commissioner of Highways. The primary source of information are the minutes of meetings of the Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Council. For two decades the council have requested multiple times that the car park is included in the River Torrens Linear Park.
The position of SPRA as outlined in the Old Transport SA Car Park GARP Response is consistent with the Council's request to have the car park included within the River Torrens Linear Park.
As part of the response to the Greatuer Adelaide Regional Plan (GARP) Discussion Paper, SPRA raised concerns about the car park located at the end of Holton Court, St Peters, being inclued in the areas to be investigated for possible Neighbourhood/Centre Infill.
SPRA have submitted a response to the Ultra Tune Advertising Sign Application recommending that approval for the proposed Advertising Hoarding should be refused by the Council Assessment Panel (CAP) as it fails to satisfy the important criteria in the Planning & Design Code, because the billboard:
A development application has been lodged with the Council for a 12m x 4m LED advertising sign on the intersection of Stephen Terrace & Payneham Road above the Ultra Tune establishment. The application is currently out for public consultation and SPRA intends to make a submission to the Council Assessment Panel (CAP) that approval should not be given.
